ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS
President Martin Smyth
President Martin opened the meeting by welcoming the guest and visitors and thanking the members for their attendance. He informed that in place of the regular Rotaract update Mr. Mario Tasatto will give a presentation on a Planner/ Diary for schools and universities. Rotaract will present their update on 11 March. Some of the committee chairs have submitted their term report.
He then asked the board and floor to present or raise points of common interest.
Scott Dwyer
Thanked for the warm welcome he and his wife have received and informed that this year’s Rotary Perth Golf tournament will be held towards end of May. Exact dates will be advised in due time.
PP Mercia Inkiriwang
Informed that she will join the fun walk committee in session later today and will give an update at the next board meeting.
PP W. Nieman
Informed that the new RCBND website is now on-line .The idea behind the new site is to allow the President, Secretary and Service Chairs to individually update the site by posting news, information and announcements on their area of concern. Thus the site will be more current than the previous site and as the years go by ultimately provide a historical archive of the club members and activities. Pictures will be an essential element in the new website.
He will make himself available to teach anyone in need of assistance.
Karl-Heinz Schmelzer
Informed that PP Mercia Inkiriwang and he will brief the board on the forthcoming board meeting on 4 March on the results of the training seminars for PE and the District Team candidates. Mercia Inkiriwang and Wanda Latif are incoming AG and District Secretary respectively.
GUEST SPEAKER PRESENTATION
Guest speaker of the day was Mr. Mario Tosatto from Akademik Media presenting a planner/diary suitable for schools and universities. He stressed the quality of the planner and its robust design. The cover and the first pages can be tailored to the need of the sponsor/provider. He believes the planner to improve learning and control of academic achievements. Mr. Mario Tosatto considers Rotary a suitable partner in launching the planner which had been presented already to several other Rotary clubs. The minimum printing quantity is 1000 copies; an ideal quantity is a full container load of 50000 copies. The planner is being printed in Hong Kong. Delivery will take 60 days.

Raffle
Raffle tickets for IDR 340.000 were sold. Visiting Rtn. Scott Dwyer won a bottle of wine sponsored by PP Jo Rosarius. Past winners owing prizes, especially those having won at the New Year Launching Party, are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.
Fines
One fine of IDR 50.000,- was collected for all and sundry offences.
