ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS
President Martin Smyth
President Martin Smyth opened the meeting by thanking the members for their attendance.

He informed that the fun walk organizing committee is seeking Bank CIMB NIAGA as a sponsor. To support this request for sponsorship the bank’s management require a list of Rotary Clubs and/or individual members holding accounts with CIMB NIAGA. Members holding an account and willing to enlist may contact the organizing committee. He further informed that last week a memorandum of understanding had been signed pertaining to training of midwifes and food supplements for babies at Sanglah hospital.

He then asked the board and floor to present or raise points of common interest.

PP Jo Rosarius
Informed that within the next two weeks four doctors at four different hospitals will conduct repeat cleft lip operations on 23 children. The expected cost will range between IDR 50-60 million.

Karl-Heinz Schmelzer
Reminded on the Future Vision Pilot training seminar conducted at the Fave Hotel, Denpasar on Saturday 17 April commencing at 8.00 AM with registration and ending at approximately 3.00 PM. Participation by Club’s President Elects, Secretary Elects and The Rotary Foundation officers is expected, all other Rotarians are most welcome. Currently registered are PP Mercia Inkiriwang as incoming Assistant Governor and himself as SE.

PP Mercia Inkiriwang
As the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel is renovating their tennis courts the organizing committee is looking for an alternative venue for this year’s Rotary Bali charity tennis tournament. Members active in the hospitality business were asked to assist.

Michael Burchett
The Rotary Golf tournament traditionally held by RC Mill Point, Perth in May is not scheduled for this year. A postponement to October is being considered.

During next luncheon meeting the President will brief the floor on results of the board meeting held earlier the same day and PP Mercia Inkiriwang will give a presentation of the Future Vision Pilot.

Raffle
Tickets for IDR 280.000 were being sold. Karl-Heinz Schmelzer won a bottle of red wine brought by past winner Juergen Schreiber. Past winners owing prizes are invited not to further delay their contributions.

Fines
Fines of IDR 215.000,–were collected for all and sundry offences.
