ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS
President Bruce Jellard
President Bruce Jellard opened the meeting welcoming the guests and thanking the members for their attendance.
He informed about the resignation of Peter Richter whose business activities are now predominately in Australia and therefore decided to discontinue his membership.
He then asked the board and floor to present or raise points of common interest.
PP Jo Rosarius
There were 8 cleft lip and palate operations last month and there will be 5 this month.
Finally RI could trace the TRF funds of USD 2.700, and will allocate them to 27 of our members.
Tri
An update on past activities of Rotaract were given which included the Board change over at Kebun Raya Bedugul on 4 July, attending a mini seminar on ‘Leading by the Youth’ on 10 July, participating in an OMG (Outing, Meeting, Gathering) event in Ubud on 18 July and organizing a dog fashion show as a fund raising event on 25 July.
Nunie Kneip
Rotary Club Bali Seminyak will organize a fund raising event for the Bali Clean up Day at the Anantara Hotel in Seminyak with musician Carton J. Smith. Tickets will be sold at IDR 250.000,-. More details to follow.

Introduced his friend Peter Wallace from Jakarta who is about to take up residency in Bali.
Dave Lance
The HIV midwife training program launched recently is being replicated by BIWA covering the training of 40 midwives.
Bruce Jellard
The Rotary Charity Golf Tournament shall raise funds to improve the environmental situation in Bali as a follow up of the Bali Clean up Day. Sponsors will be approached shortly for which however a more detailed charity topic and a logo will be needed.
GUEST SPEAKER PRESENTATION
Bipan Kapur presented ‘This is my Life’. Born, raised and educated in Delhi, he decided to enter the hospitality business. He started his career with the Oberoi group, went to France to complete his studies, migrated to Australia and now works for Starwood Hotels.

Raffle
Tickets for IDR 360.000,- were sold. Priti Kapur won a bottle of Campari brought by past winner Reinhold Jansen. Past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.
