ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS
President Bruce Jellard
President Bruce Jellard opened the meeting welcoming the visitors and guests and thanking the members for their attendance, especially Jose Calle for making his first appearance in the new Rotary Year. He informed that Tennis and Community Service Committees have been in session before the meeting.

He then asked the board and floor to present or raise points of common interest.

Frank Liepmann
Announced that he has taken up a new assignment which will necessitate prolonged absence from Bali. He will remain a member of the club but expects that today was his last regular attendance for some time. He introduced Mr. Martin Aeschlimann, his successor at the Ayodya Hotel Bali.

Martin Aeschlimann
Bali is his permanent base since 1992 and he knows some of founding members of the club.

Axel Kniep
He and Nunie attended a meeting of the Rotary Club Seminyak where Nunie He will be travelling again, today being his last meeting. He will return by end of November.

PP Mercia Inkiriwang
On 17/18 September will be seminars at Sanur Paradise Hotel, one under the motto Bigger, Bolder, Better and one on Public Relation.

Early bird tickets are still available for IDR 200.000,- for each seminar.

Jeff Anderson
Nunie Kneip is one of the driving forces behind Clean up Bali. Everything is looking positive. There will be a fund raiser on 13 August at the Anantara Hotel organized by RC Bali Seminyak.

RCBND will be assigned the cleaning of beaches Benoa, Nusa Dua and Geger Beach. Volunteers are needed for this event on 20 September.

Risto Poskiparta
He is active chasing sponsors for the Charity Golf Tournament in September.

PP Ed Naus
As the past Raffle price winner he brought a painting of two Balinese beauties.

Jean Charles Le-Coz
The BHA (of which he is the chairman) is actively supporting the Bali Clean & Green events.

Gary Phair
The Tennis organizing Committee had meeting this morning with Alex of Pure Tennis discussing the operational aspects and set up of the coming tennis tournament.

Dave Lance
The Community Service committee met before this meeting considering a couple of projects including cleft lip prevention and water purification.

Karl-Heinz Schmelzer
He informed about the intended visit of the DG Al Purwa on 19 August.

Risto Poskiparta has agreed to act as the relief secretary during his absence 20 August to 8 September.

Bruce Jellard
The organizing committee for the Charity Golf Tournament is in the process of identifying the main sponsor. It is likely now that the tournament will have to be postponed by 1 or 2 weeks. All funds will be earmarked for an environmental project under the motto Bali Clean & Green.

Raffle
Raffle tickets for IDR 410.000 were sold. Jose Calle won a painting showing the beauties Nunie and Mimi brought by past winner PP Ed Naus. Past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.

Fines
Fines of IDR 120.000,- were imposed for all and sundry offences.
