President Bruce Jellard
President Bruce Jellard opened the meeting welcoming the visitors and the guests especially Pak Rudi and his wife Letty. He then asked the board and floor to present or raise points of common interest.
Risto Poskiparta
On behalf of Nunie Kneip who is ill, Risto informed of an event at Kedonganan beach (fishermen village ) where elementary school children will paint trash bins and the three best will get prizes. Professor Wayan Merta is the coordinator of the event.
The mayor, Anak Agung Gede Putra will join the event at around 11 am. Possibly there will be some media as well.
Jo Rosarius, Karl-Heinz Schmelzer and Risto are scheduled to attend the event.
Ari Murti
HIV in Bali is spreading at an alarming rate. Ari reported on three ordinary housewives having died of AIDS as they neglected to take the prescribed medicine. Ari also advised that she recently gave an interview broadcasted by Bali TV on AIDS in which she also explained the role Rotary is playing in the combat against the desease.
Robert Abstone
On 30 September the singer Jeff Christy ( known for his song ‘Yellow River’ ) will perform at the Anantara Hotel, Seminyak.
Erik Gangsted
Had been a member of our club from 1996-1998. He now lives in France. He handed over a donation in the amount of USD 700.00 to which the District Governor of his district (1780), Mr. Richard Schneider and he had evenly contributed. The donation is to be used in the cleft lip and palate program.
President Bruce and RCBND members thanked him for this generous donation.
PP Michael Burchett
BHA will be actively involved in the Bali Clean and Green activities on 20 September.
He further informed that the ROLE ecco park is now open. Also here BHA will provide support.
Rudolfo Balmater
Gave a presentation on Challenges in Leading a Volunteer Service Oranization. A copy of the presentation will be sent by email.

Raffle
Tickets for IDR 540.000,- were sold. Erik Gangsted won a round of golf for four players at the Bali Golf and Country Club sponsored by President Bruce Jellard. Erik Gangsted put the price up for auction which went to Edward Naus for USD 200.00. Past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.
Fines
Fines of IDR 100,000.- were collected for all and sundry offences.
