ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS
President Bruce Jellard
President Bruce Jellard opened the meeting welcoming repeat guest Martin Aechlimann (to be inducted at the next meeting) and thanked the members present for their attendance, especially Roger Thomas, making his first appearance this Rotary year.
He pointed out that this luncheon meeting will be the last held at the Nikko Hotel and Spa. On behalf of RC Bali Nusa Dua he thanked Jean Charles Le-Coz and his staff for their outstanding hospitality over the last three years.
The new luncheon meeting venue will be the Spice Restaurant at the Conrad Resort Bali in Tanjung Benoa.
Being the last Thursday of the month Rotaract was to give an update of their past and planned activities. Regretfully PP Tika, who was to give the presentation, was unable to attend.
He then asked the board and floor to present or raise points of common interest.
PP Jo Rosarius
Since his last update 8 cleft lip and palate operations have taken place.
He then informed of an Bali Clean & Green event at Kedonganan beach on 24 September combined with blood donations, dental and eye checks. Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua represented by Karl-Heinz Schmelzer, PP Edward Naus and him had sponsored trash bins and others. Elementary school children painted the trash bins and the three best teams received prizes.
Coca Cola donated a large tractor to be used for the cleaning of Kedonganan beaches. The vice mayor of Badung attended the event.
Bipan Kapur
There will be a magic show at the Westin Hotel on 2 October starting at 16.30. Tickets are IDR 50.000,- per person. All proceeds will go UNICEF Jakarta.
Keith Bell
Informed that this year’s SKAL ball will take place at the Nikko Hotel and Spa on 11 December. SKAL is an International Association of Travel and Tourism Professionals.

Read a letter from RC Darwin Sunrise honouring our members with a toast and sending a warm Aussie greeting.
Dave Lance
So far 4 members have sent email with ideas regarding service projects and hopes to receive more. He then presented a summary of the the PR seminar in Sanur held on 18 September.
Induction
Eni Pilianingsih being proposed by PP W. Nieman, was inducted as a new member. All members welcomed her warmly.
President Bruce Jellard proposed Eni Pilianingsih as chair person Youth Service.

Raffle
Tickets for IDR 340.000,- were being sold. Priti Kapur won a twin statue said to depict his highness Sultan Bruce the magnificent and his favourite wife. The price was brought by past winner PP Edward Naus. Past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.
Fines
Fines of IDR 105.000,– were collected for all and sundry offences.
