ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS
President Bruce Jellard
As President Bruce Jellard was still absent Vice President Risto Poskiparta took the chair. He opened the meeting welcoming the guests and thanked the members present for their attendance.

He then asked the board and floor to present or raise points of common interest.

Karl-Heinz Schmelzer
He informed that the Community Service Committee has been in session prior to this meeting reviewing and voting on the eight project ideas proposed by several members and circulated in last week’s bulletin.

Three projects had been shortlisted, namely
No. 6 The singing garbage truck.
No. 7 Promoting publicity about caring for the environment.
No. 8 Support a “reduce, reuse, recycle” program aimed at school children.

Ian Wilson
He promoted the Melbourne Cup in Bali 2010 fundraiser organized by RC Bali Benoa to be held at the Melia Hotel on 1 and 2 November. More details can be found in the attachment.

PP Mercia Inkiriwang
She informed that the singer Sara Sweeting is planning to come to Bali and proposed to consider using the occasion for a fund raising concert.

PP Michael Burchett
He annouced his absence for the next two meetings.

Roger Thomas
He is proud of having made three luncheon meetings in a row.

PP Edward Naus
He was of the opinion that the members should have been more involved in the selection of the service projects to be further pursued rather than a gremium of a few make these decision.

In response to this Karl-Heinz Schmelzer stated that the club had established a Community Service Committee for the purpose of effectively handling such matters. In addition the previous bulletin summarized the project ideas and invited the members to comment and vote on them.Only a few responses had been received.

PP Jo Rosarius
He reported that the balance to the annual USD 1.000,- Polio Plus funds had been transferred.

Matt Lopez
He gave a presentation on internet supported TV (IPTV). He represents several Japanese companies in a World Bank committee aiming to establish a word wide standard for internet based TV. He can be contacted under Senor.Matt.Lopez@gmail.com.

All
Welcomed that PP Michael Burchett has allowed more choises in the lunch menue. Some had been afraid of having to eat meat pies for the the rest of their life.

Raffle
Tickets for IDR 440.000,- were sold. PP Wes Nieman won a bottle of red wine sponsored by PP Michael Burchett. Past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.

Fines of IDR 100.000,– were collected for all and sundry offences.
