ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS
President Bruce Jellard
President Bruce Jellard opened the meeting welcoming the visitor and guests and thanked the members present for their attendance, especially Roger Thomas for making two appearances in a row.
He briefed the members on topics discussed at the Board meeting held earlier.
- Golf Tournament: Bali Classic, Bank Mandiri, Club Car and Samsung could be won as sponsors.
- The TRF contribution of USD 100/ year/member will become optional.
- Jon Zuercher shall be offered an honorary membership.
He then asked the board and floor to present or raise points of common interest.
Risto Poskiparta
On behalf of Nunie Kneip who is ill he informed of an event at Kedonganan beach (fishermen village ), where elementary school children will paint trash bins and the three best will get prizes. Professor Wayan Merta is the coordinator of the event.
The mayor, Anak Agung Gede Putra will join the event at around11 am. Possibly there will be some media as well.
Jo Rosarius, Karl-Heinz Schmelzer and he are to attend the event.
PP Michael Burchett
The luncheon menu will be sent out to all members by Sunday/Monday.
Members intending to attend the meeting are requested to tick the meals they want, also for their guests, if any.
On arrival visitors/guests shall receive a badge with their name to help the staff serving the meal ordered.
The billing will be done after the lunch.
Ari Murti
Within the framework of the midwife training program 1000 pregnant women had been screened on HIV. 100 women were sent for further testing, none were found HIV positive.
Tika
In September Rotaract brought crème and special soap donated by an Australian organization to children affected by skin disease.
Several members of Rotaract will participate in the launching of the Smart car at The Bale on 9 October.
Bipan Kapur
The magic show at the Westin Hotel on 2 October attracted 2200 visitors. More than USD 11.000,- could be raised for charity. This could serve as a sample for Rotary to be replicated.
Risto Poskiparta
Bank Mandiri could be won as a sponsor for the Annual Charity Golf Tournament.
PP Jo Rosarius
Three cleft lip operations had been performed last week paid for from the donation of Erik Gansted who will be informed accordingly.
Jeffry Anderson
A full report on activities under Bali Clean & Green will be given after the return of Nunie Kneip and Gary Phair.
Referring to an email from Jimmy Roland received by all members he hoped that the matter can be solved “ baik baik”.
Carlos Vinas
Spontaneously Carlos Vinas donated USD 1.000,– towards the Charity Golf Tournament. All members thanked him for that with a big hand.
Induction
Martin Aechlimann being proposed by Jo Rosarius, was inducted as a new member. All members welcomed him warmly.

Raffle
Tickets for IDR 380.000,- were sold. Carlos Vinas won a bottle of red wine sponsored by Michael Burchett. The bottle was returned to the Raffles pot and can be won again next time. Past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.
Fines
Fines of IDR 70.000,– were collected for all and sundry offences.
