Jean Charles Le Coz
With reference to the disasters Mentawai and Merapi and as Chairman of the BHA he asked the members to let him know the disaster relief items most urgently needed and where to send them to.

Monty Brown
He informed that representatives of Dunlop will be in Bali and would like them to make contact with the Westin.

Dave Lance
He referred to the challenge to all RCBND members several weeks back asking members to come forward with ideas for future community service projects.

Several ideas had been received. Since then, there has been some discussion regarding additional ideas and some members wished to have more input and influence in the project selection. Therefore he repeated the challenge and asked members to submit project ideas meeting following criteria:

1. Does the project genuinely impact the Balinese community in a positive way?
2. Can the project be effectively managed by our club (with or without the assistance of an outside party)?
3. Will the project be visible to the community and bring positive recognition to Rotary?

He asked the members to provide their ideas before 12 November. Proposers shall be prepared to present their idea before the Community services Committee at its next meeting.

PP Edward Naus
With regard to the challenge he was of the opinion that without knowing the situation regarding funding the submission of project ideas may be fruitless.

In response to that Dave Lance said that at this stage the project ideas may be submitted without consideration for the funding.

Karl-Heinz Schmelzer
He will miss the next two luncheon meetings. Priti Kapur was kind enough to volunteer again as the relief secretary.

PP Bruce Jellard
He gave an update on the situation regarding the RCBND Charity Golf Tournament.

There are currently over 100 entrees. Bali Medex will provide a IDR 50.000.000,- cash price for a hole in one on hole 4.

Rick Pursell
Is an UK citizen, lived over 30 years in Australia and for 20 years in Asia. On invitation from Bipan Kapur he gave a presentation on “Cause No Harm” a concept and philosophy that can be adopted by individuals, families, educational institutions, SMEs and large multi-national organizations, to reflect their personal integrity along with business ethics and strategy. Everything that is to be done will have as the first consideration, the idea that it must Cause No Harm. No harm to ourselves as individuals, other people, our equipment whether owned or leased, materials, others assets, the environment in which we work, the planet as a whole and future generations who will inherit the legacies we leave behind.

Cause No Harm forms the foundation through which humanity can bring about an end to the separateness that is the root cause of us harming each other and the environment, to build a sustainable world steeped in harmony, understanding, caring and mutual growth.

It takes our thinking away from short term gains to sustainable, ethical ideas, integrity and actions that benefit everyone. In short it moves us away from egocentricity to global-centricity, where we consider the impact of our actions broadly and take full responsibility for the outcomes.

The members gave Rick Pursell a big hand for his very interesting presentation.
