ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS
President Bruce Jellard
President Bruce Jellard noted that only members were present and opened the meeting thanking the members for their attendance.
He briefed the floor on topics discussed during the Board meeting having been held prior to the luncheon meeting:
- Candidates to be asked to take up following positions:
Vocational Service: Martin Aeschlimann
New Generation: Priti Kapur - PP Mercia Inkiriwang to explore further the possibility of having the singer Sara Sweeting stopping over in Bali next year and using the occasion for a fund raiser.
- The Shelter Boxes donated by RCBND have likely been sent by now to the Mentawai islands.
- A Christmas dinner party/member assembly will be held on 9 December from 18.00-21.00 in place of the luncheon meeting. Family and friends are welcome. Venue will be the Spice restaurant, Conrad Hotel.
- The luncheon on 16 December will be last Rotary meeting this year. The first meeting in 2011 will be held on 6 January.
- He gave an outline of the financial position of the Club.
Karl-Heinz Schmelzer
He explained that the members will be asked by email to propose a candidate for the position of President Nominee for Rotary Year 2012-2013. If more than one candidate is being proposed the members will have to vote during the Christmas dinner/ member assembly.
Martin Aeschlimann
He accepted the position as Chair of the Vocational Service Committee.
Ari Murti
On 30 November, the World Aids Day, she gave a 25 minutes interview in English on Radio Paradise. The interview was also broadcasted by Voice of Indonesia. The topic was how to break the chain of HIV transmission. She pointed out her being a member in Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua and mentioned the two HIV related projects the club is currently actively involved in.
Axel Kneip
He is glad to be back in Bali, having just escaped the cold spell in Europe.
Eddie Fitzgerald
He realized that this was his first appearance at a luncheon meeting this Rotary Year.
PP Michael Burchett
The tickets for the Annual Christmas Dinner Party will be IDR 300.000,- net per person including soft drinks, wine and beer.
He continued updating on the Children’s Christmas Party being held on Friday 10 December at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. So far 280 children and support have been registered. There is still some space remaining for up to 60 children plus helpers.
The children will receive goody bags in form of backpacks stuffed with a drinking bottle, colour pencils, colouring book, toothbrush and paste as well as chocolates and a packet of freshly baked cookies; Grand Hyatt is also providing a pencil, pen & eraser school kit.
To date a total of 190 gifts have been sponsored, leaving 130 at IDR 100.000,- each available for sponsorship.

He informed that 2 cleft lip operations had been performed since our last meeting.

Raffle
Tickets for IDR 520.000,- were sold. PP Michael Burchett won an earthen vase from Kalimantan brought by Eddie Fitzgerald. Past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.
Fines
Fines of IDR 30.000,– were collected for all and sundry offences.
