ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS
President Bruce Jellard
In absence of President Bruce Jellard Vice President Risto Poskiparta took the chair. He opened the meeting welcoming the guests and members.
He informed that in place of the luncheon meeting on17 February the members are encouraged to attend the Rotaract Charity Dinner to be held at the Ayodya Hotel on Saturday, 19 February commencing at 18.30.
He continued with briefing the members on points discussed during the earlier Board Meeting:
The Club’s web site has been in neglect for some time. PP Mimi Inkiriwang volunteered to administer the web site initially for a trial period until 1 April. She is to receive input from the Board and Committee Chairs.
The Club and two other clubs in Bali refused to sign the Club Assembly Agreement District requested by the District for obtaining District and Global Grants. Rotary International has now informed about an alternative procedure for obtaining Global Grants. The Board will study this alternative avenue in detail and will make recommendations for adoption by the members.
Ari Murti has briefed the Board on the result of the breast milk supplement program for HIV positive mothers which ran for two years.
The Community Service Committee is to receive her report and recommendations.
He then addressed Jon Zuercher. In view of having been a charter member, the Club’s first President and in consideration of his merits Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua has decided to grant him today Honorary Membership. The Honorary Membership certificate will be handed over at next opportunity.
The Vice President then asked the board and floor to present or raise points of common interest.

She encouraged all members to attend the Rotaract Charity Dinner to be held at the Ayodya Hotel on 19 February.
The event will start at 18.30 with fellowship followed by a dance performed by children from the deaf children school. There will be fantastic prices for auction including pictures painted by deaf children.
Tickets cost IDR 250.000,- /person.

Tickets for IDR 430.000,- were sold. Jon Zuercher won a bottle of red wine donated by past winner Kiki Brown. In addition Karl-Heinz Schmelzer won a ticket for the Rotaract Charity Dinner sponsored by Keith Bell. Past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.
