ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS
President Bruce Jellard
In absence of President Bruce Jellard Vice President Risto Poskiparta took the chair. He opened the meeting welcoming the guests and members.
He informed that the Tennis Committee had been in session earlier.
In lieu of last week’s luncheon meeting the members had been encouraged to attend the Rotaract Charity Dinner held at the Ayodya Hotel on Saturday, 19 February. He regretted that only eight club members attended.
He asked Eni Pilianingsih to convey his and the club members’ heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Rotaract Denpasar member I Kadek Giri who passed away after a long illness.
The Vice President then asked the floor to present or raise points of common interest.
Dave Lance
He announced that he will be away for next week’s Board and luncheon meetings.
He found the low attendance at the Rotaract Charity Dinner embarrassing which we felt was in part due to a lack in marketing.
He attended two Rotary meetings at RC Mc Murray while away in the States and brought a flag of this club.
PP Mimi Inkiriwang
She informed that the club may present itself in a booklet to be published on the occasion of the next District conference held in Bali in early June. A quarter page is to be had at IDR 500.000,- .
Eni Pilianingsih
On behalf of Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua she thanked the club for its support although she had wished more members had attended. There are prizes left she hoped can be auctioned off soon.
PP Wes Nieman
He thought it would be a remiss not to thank Martin Aeschlimann for his and the Ayodya staff efforts put into the Rotaract Charity Dinner.
PP Edward Naus
He was of the opinion that at the next Rotaract event more efforts have to be put into the promotion and marketing of the event.
PP Michael Burchett
He is actively looking for guest speakers for the meetings on 10, 17, and 24 March. He is also asking members to come forward volunteering to speak about “that is my Life” as otherwise he may have to appoint volunteers.
On 20 May the customary Rotary Golf Tournament at Royal Perth will be held. Usually a team from Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua participated. Members interested to join are asked to come forward.
He suggested holding a fun golf tournament following the Soleman Golf Tournament where players play bare feet. Invite other Clubs to join. Raise funds and have some fun at the same time.
Gary Phair
He informed that the Tennis committee had a fruitful meeting this morning. With Ayodya Hotel the first Raffles sponsor is on board.
In addition 100 shirts had been sponsored already. The committee is looking for further sponsors for another 200 shirts.
Members are invited to go to our tennis face book page and asked their family and friends to join.

Martin Aeschlimann
He had a meeting with Georges Capt for the handover of the Vocational Service affairs.
PP Jo Rosarius
He informed of 5 cleft lip operations having taken place the last two weeks.
He thought that the day (Saturday) chosen for the Rotaract Charity Dinner was a bit unfortunate as it collided with The Chain Dinner and the Bali Birdies Golf.
