President Bruce Jellard
President Bruce Jellard opened the meeting welcoming the members and guests (hoops….no guests today).
He has been absent for a few weeks and welcomed himself back in Bali. He is happy to see us all again.
A special welcome was extented to Eddy Fitzgerald who made one of his rare appearances.
With great interest he followed from a far the Tennis Tournament taking shape under guidance from Garry Phair who had to endure a few traumatic moments since taking over the Tennis chair. In compensation for his suffering he received a gift in form of original Wimbelton tennis balls.
He then briefed the floor on subjects discussed during the Board meeting having taken place earlier today.
- PP Mimi Inkirawang has taken it upon her to gather information and brief the Board/Club on the fifth Avenue of Service “New Generation“.
- The club will seek a meeting with RC Bali Seminyak on several issues:
- Cost sharing of the Bali & Green event
- Alternate solution to become a Future Vision Pilot Club
- Participation in the District Conference brochure with a full page presentation.
- The cleft lip program lacking children and ways of promoting our program among Bali communties and beyond.
- Operation of a boy with a facial disformity.
The President then asked the floor to present or raise points of common interest.
PP Mimi Inkiriwang
She informed that in addition to the Club’s Every Rotarian Every Year ( in Rotary speak EREY) regular contribution of USD 100,- /member ( in the past mandatory, since recently voluntary) she EREYed an additional contribution of USD 1000,-. The Club thanked her for her generosity.
PP Michael Burchett
As there are no guest speakers yet for the month of March he will likely have to appoint volunteers speaking about “ My life “.
Gary Phair
He welcomed our spiritual leader Bruce Jellard back in the ranks of the Club. He and other members of the Tennis Committee had a meeting with the Canggu Club. The Committee is actively looking for naming right sponsors. Risto Poskiparta is in charge of approaching Bank Mandiri.
Members are encouraged to support the Tennis Tournament in every possible way.

Keith Bell
He informed about an initiative of the Bali Hotel Association to raise awareness on AIDS among the hotel personnel. It is hoped they in turn will carry this awareness into their families and villages.
Eddie Fitzgerald
As a matter of fact this is his third meeting of this [calendar] year.
PP Jo Rosarius
There were no cleft lip operations within the last week. He emphasied that the a fresh inititavie is needed promoting the project as there is a shortage in children for operation. There are plans to use other than Global Grant funds to pay for the transport of children from the surrounding islands.

Tickets for IDR 280.000,- were sold. Dona Poskiparta won a 90 minutes massage at the Jari Menari Spa sponsored by Susan Stein. Past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.

Fines of IDR 110.000,– were collected for all and sundry offences.
