ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS
President Bruce Jellard
In place of President Bruce Jellard Vice President Risto Poskiparta took the chair. He opened the meeting welcoming members and guests.
He informed that a Special Board meeting had been held prior to the luncheon meeting. The Board reviewed and considered 17 District Resolutions put forward by various clubs of District 3400 and will be making recommendation to the members which are to vote on them later today.
The President then asked the floor to present or raise points of common interest.
Dave Lance
He apologized for not having been here for the last few weeks. Being President Elect he informed he still looking for a candidate for the position Sergeant At Arms. He invited members interested in this position to come forward.
Ari Murti
Singaraja has the highest concentration of AIDS/HIV in Bali. From 1000 sex workers 600 had been found HIV positive.
Margaret Mockler
She has been the guest speaker two weeks ago. She thanked the Club for allowing her to be here today as a guest.
Peter Rankin
He is a guest of PP Martin Smyth and thanked the Club for having him.
Jeff Matthews
He has been travelling extensively and said it is nice to be back.
PP Michael Burchett
He invited the members to help him identifying guest speakers for the weeks ahead.

The Bali International school his son is attending is organizing a fund raiser in conjunction with the climb of Gunung Agung. He thanked the sponsors who had previously already contributed generously to this event and circulated the sponsor list once more.
PP Mimi Inkiriwang
She had sent an email with a link to an updated/modified web site to all members for comment.
Obviously this mail has not reached all members yet.
Martin Aeschlimann
He has been in contact with Daniel Elber of the Multi Gunung project. Flyers are in preparation intended to identify children of this area with cleft and palate for operation under RCBND cleft lip and palate program.
Bipan Kapur
Also he is happy to be back after a few weeks of absence. In the combat of his vertigo he did a tandem parachute jump and followed it up with a bungee jump. The former he considered the most exiting experience ever.
PP W. Nieman
The informed of his fall and subsequent operation in Singapore. The members are happy to see him back in one piece.
Gary Phair
He introduced this guest John Abuchon from Bali Soap and thanked him on behalf of the Club for donating 200 cans of tennis balls for the Rotary Tennis Tournament in May.
PP Jo Rosarius
He reported two cleft lip operations last week.
Karl-Heinz Schmelzer
Members had received copies of the proposed District Resolutions. The resolutions were read to the members together with explanations and the recommendations of the Board. The members voted on them by sign of hand. The results were documented and will be submitted to the District in due time.

Tickets for IDR 460.000,- were sold. PP Martin Smyth won a shopping bag with content sponsored by Ari Murti. Past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.
