ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS
President Bruce Jellard
President Bruce Jellard welcomed members and guests. A special welcome was extended to Jose Calle who made his first appearance this (calendar) year.
The President then asked the floor to present or raise points of common interest.
Priti Kapur
A free tennis clinic for orphans is planned in the run up to our tennis tournament.
Members were invited to suggest an orphanage/s for participation in a Tennis Clinic run by Pure Tennis. The tennis committee is looking for up to 20 additional children. If you propose an orphanage please ensure transport to and from the tennis clinic will be organized.
Up to 15 rackets are available. The tennis committee is looking for sponsors that can donate additional rackets which then can be used for other events as well or given to the kids.
Gary Phair
For next week a tennis committee meeting is being planned. The committee is still looking for sponsors for give away polo tennis shirts at IDR 50.000,- each.
PP Mercia Inkiriwang
She informed of the visit of Rotary International President Elect (RIPE) to Bali on 8 April. The District expects all Bali based Rotary Clubs to participate in droves in a dinner to be hosted at the Sanur Paradise Hotel. The dinner fee will be IDR 175.000,- /person. Spouses are welcome. In addition the District expects a donation of IDR 500.000 /club to help cover the cost of the visit of Mr. Kalyan Banerjee and the First Lady.
She informed also that members of all Bali Rotary Clubs are invited to join the opening ceremony of the newly established RC Canggu.
PP Bruce Jellard
He encouraged all members to participate in the dinner hosted by the District in honour of RIPE Kalyan Banerjee.
The members supported the donation of IDR 500.000,- for the visit of RIPE which was subsequently submitted to Mercia Inkiriwang for onward transfer to the District.
He confirmed that the luncheon meeting on 7 April shall not be moved to 8 April but be held as usual preceded by the Board meeting.
Correction from the bulletin of last week
Ari Murti informed that Singaraja has the highest concentration of AIDS/HIV in Bali. From 1,000 sex workers tested 200 (not 600) had been to be found HIV positive.

Tickets for IDR 320.000,- were sold. PP Martin Smyth won a shopping bag with content sponsored by Ari Murti. Past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.
