ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS
President Dave Lance
President Dave Lance welcomed members and Tresabel, Communications Manager at the Ayodhya, guest of Martin Aeshlimann. He then requested updates on various projects:
Karl-Heinz reported that Risto was close to identifying the truck required for the Sawanagan Waste recycling project. It had been decided not funds would be disbursed for the project till the truck was in place.
Jo informed members that no cleft lip operations had been performed in the last week. He is still in the process of negotiation a discount on the revised price of the cleft palate operations.
He suggested Gary request assistance from our Rotaract club to identify children who require cleft palate operations.
Also, Mifta is still recovering at home after the third operation.
Ari advised that Emily Rowe, an Australian with Aus aid would meet with the Community Services Committee on 22 Sept, in regards to the proposed project with the Yayasan YKP.
PP Jo Rosarius
PP Jo also requested those who have not paid their dues to do so asap.
Dr Reno
Dr Reno said that the children with fish skin disease required referral to John Fawcett foundation for possible eye operations.
PP Martin Smyth
PP Martin will liase with Rtn. Patrick from the RCB Seminyak, and advise details of the fund raising Bike- a-Fund which will be in October.
PP Edward Naus
PP Edward Naus will meet with the President of the Cintanak Foundation in the coming week and update members in the project once he has done so.
Gary Phair
Gary advised that He has invited some Rotaract members to lunch on Sept 22nd to make a presentation and open discussion on their club and its projects.
Gary also asked for members to volunteer to share their expertise and participate as trainers in a workshop proposed by President Dave, for Rotaract members. So far Gary and Dave have agreed to take sessions.
Martin Aeshlimann
Martin Aeshlimann pointed out that the current vocational services project is completed in Januari 2012. He invited members to participate in a brainstorming session to identify the next Vocational Service’s project. He will send out an email with details of the meeting. Nunie, Ari, Dave, and Ed expressed an interest in attending.
Jean Charles
Jean Charles suggested that we join hands with the BHA to support orphanages around Bali. The BHA has a project in which each member hotel ‘adopts’ an orphanage and supports it and not with money but with services, goods, etc. like painting their buildings, English classes, food, donations of blankets, etc. At the moment 45 of the 100 members have adopted orphanages. He suggested our club assist the project in identifying, monitoring and coordination.
In the absence of a guest speaker Michael shared his life story!

PP Jo requested members who have not paid their dues do so urgently.

- RI Dues US$ 70,-
- RF Contribution US$ 100,- (optional)
President Dave urged all members to make the voluntary $100,- contribution

Tickets for IDR 400.000,- were sold. two books donated by Karl-Heinz were won by Tresabel. Past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.

Fines of IDR 130.000,- were collected for all and sundry offences.
