ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS
President Dave Lance
President Dave Lance welcomed members. He suggested a ‘whistle blower’ initiative assist SAA Martin raise more by way of fines, members are requested to let the SAA know of infractions of others during the meeting!

Martin Aeschlimann
Martin gave an update on the Vocational Services brainstorming session held prior to the lunch meeting. The tentative proposal is to look for disadvantaged children of 16 or older and assisting them in to further education/apprenticeships etc to improve their job prospects. He is working on refining the proposal.

Karl-Heinz
Karl-Heinz gave an update in the Waste Management Program. The truck has been identified and will be purchased and repaired at slightly above the budgeted amount. A tour of Sawangan with the local Banjar has identified where the 460 litre plastic bins will be placed. A concrete bin will be placed near the bridge over which illegal dumping takes place, in the hope that it will be used instead of throwing waste over the bridge.

The program will commence Nov 01. The project is in need of a shredder. He requested anyone with a shredder to donate to call him. Jean- Charles mentioned that he had passed on details to ROLE Foundation for the purchase of a new shredder.

Ari Murti
Ari Murti asked if any members would join her at the HIV conference 02 to 06 October in Jogja.

PP Jo Rosarius
PP Jo Rosarius reported no cleft lip operations had taken place the previous week, and that he had not yet received an invoice for Mifta’s third operation. The Director of Sanglah Hospital is still away, and there has been no progress on the negotiation of the amended price of cleft lip operations.

Risto Poskiparta
Risto Poskiparta reported that the Sawangan Banjar want to compose a song for the garbage truck, PP Ed Naus also wishes to compose one.

Jean Charles
Jean Charles shared the good news that the Munti Gunung project has won an award from Skaal International for the work they do.

PP Mercia Inkiriwang
PP Mimi showed everyone the T shirt her company has made for the RCB Seminyak Bike a Fund .

PP Bruce Jellard
PP Bruce announced that there would be a meeting later in the afternoon for the upcoming golf tournament.

PP Martin Smyth
PP Martin went over details for the Bike-a-Fund. He will email out details to members. Members not cycling are encouraged to pledge money to members who are!

President Dave Lance
President Dave Lance encouraged members to sign up for TRF seminar 02 to 04 December held at the Grand Hyatt, Nusa Dua.

Raffle
Tickets for IDR 300,000.- were sold. The mystery prize donated by Tressabel was won by PP Michael Burchett. Past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.

Fines
Fines of IDR 90.000,- were collected for all and sundry offences.
