President Dave Lance
President Dave Lance welcomed members. Tressabel Hutoit was inducted to the RCBND. Welcome Tressabel!
He then requested updates from the board meeting that preceded the lunch meeting.
PP Jo Rosarius
PP Jo Rosarius updated us on the Cleft palate program. He advised there had been no operation in the previous week, we had 4 or 5 children on the wait list and that the new price for cleft palate operations was still under negotiation.
Karl-Heinz Schmelzer
Karl-Heinz Schmelzer updated members on: the Sawangan cleanup project. There had been a hiccup with the construction of the concrete bin near the bridge. Two plastic receptacles are being considered instead of the concrete bin. Nunie is assisting with the registration and insurance of the truck. The project should commence Nov 15.
President Dave Lance
PP Dave Lance advised that Risto Poskiparta is the Club’s President Elect for 2013-2014.
Steve Lomax
Steve Lomax of Nusa Dua theatre has invited members to watch the show. Risto will coordinate a date for our club to hold a fellowship evening at the Nusa Dua Theatre.
Ari Murti
Ari Murti will monitor and report on the results of the Mid wife training that was half at the end of October in Klung Kung. She reported that after the training was held, three more regencies have requested mid wife training.
Ari Murti updated us on the Aids conference in Jogja. She also advised that the latest opinion of “experts” was that it was not a source of cross infection for HIV mothers to nurse their infants.
Nunie Kneip
Nunie Kneip updated members on her efforts to have the road taxes etc paid to have the truck for the Sawangan Waste management project made road-ready!
PP Bruce Jellard
PP Bruce Jellard told members that registrations for our clubs’ Golf tournament were coming in. All but one hole had been sponsored, and Samsung was not a sponsor this year.
PP Edward Naus
PP Edward Naus played a recording in which he sang a garbage collectors song (he was fined for attributing a song from England to Australia!)
PP Martin Smyth
PP Martin Smyth is in the process of collecting the last of the Bike-a-Fund pledges, and will have final figures in a week or so.
The Development program for the Rotaract was run on Oct 30th at the Conrad. The intention is to run it once a quarter. President Dave called for volunteers to run modules for the next program. Please contact Gary if you are able to assist.

All were reminded that next weeks’ meeting would be a DINNER meeting at SPICE, instead of the lunch meeting at Rin. The members of the Rotaract club of Bali Nusa Dua have been invited to attend.

All were also reminded that there would be NO MEETING on 17 Nov due to the ASEAN summit in Nusa Dua.

President Dave Lance once again requested members to consider attending The Rotary Institute which will be held at the grand Hyatt, Nusa Dua Dec 2-4 2011. The next rotary International Conference will be held in Bangkok, May 6-9 2012.
