ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS
President Risto Poskiparta
President Risto Poskiparta opened the meeting by welcoming members.
President Risto advised members that the presentation by R.O.L.E. initially planned for today has been postponed to 09 August which will coincide now with the visit of DG Panudiana Kuhn. The luncheon meeting may have to be extended by 15 minutes. DG Kuhn will be accompanied by ADG Marilyn Carlson. He is expected to speak about the targets for this Rotary Year.
As well Risto mentioned that RC Zwartewatersteden, Netherlands, has indicated its support for the HIV projects of our club. Ari Murti is compiling documents about our HIV related activities to be submitted to RC Zwartewatersteden shortly. Ari has identified USD 20,000.00 to be required within the next 18 months.
Karl-Heinz Schmelzer
Karl-Heinz informed that he had invited three members of the Banjar committee Sawangan to attend the luncheon meeting and ROLE presentation on 9 August.
Edward Naus
The transfer of EUR 10,000.00 from The Netherlands for our hare-lip and cleft palate program is expected anytime now.
Gary Phair
Gary advised that Rotaract will have a fast breaking event on 11 August.
Susan Stein has donated 40 T-shirts, Nico Reschke has donated 6 sports bags and Risto and Dona Poskiparta gave IDR 500.000 in cash for our Rotaract’s Hipp-Hipp Children Program. They all received a big hand.
Regarding the upcoming tennus tournament Gary reported that he had asked PP Bruce Jellard for help to contact BTDC regarding the availability of their tennis courts. Also the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel is being approached for another court.
PP Bruce Jellard
PP Bruce informed members that he had had a meeting with Raja of New Kuta Golf (NKG). The date for Rotary Bali Golf Tournament has been fixed for 03 November. Bruce told members that Michael Burchett and he will continue to be in contact with NKG including arrangements for food and beverages for the presentation dinner.
Bruce also told members that Michael Burchett will be meeting with BTDC this afternoon regarding the tennis courts.
Dr. Reno Riandito
Dr. Reno advised that the costs of medical supplies for cleft lip operations are currently being estimated. The cost might be able to be shared between Bank Mandiri and RCBND.
Dr. Reno also announced that B.I.M.C. is offering free membership to all members of RCBND and their families. This was very well received. Thank you Dr. Reno.
PP Jo Rosarius
PP Jo announced that two outstanding bills for cleft lip operations had been paid recently. Jo also reminded and requested to those members who still have not paid their dues to do so as quickly as possible.

Raffle
Tickets for IDR 260,000- were sold. A bottle of white wine donated by Karl-Heinz Schmelzer was won by Edward Naus and immediately re-donated as Raffles prize. Past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.
Fines
Fines of IDR 10,000 were collected for all and sundry offenses.
