President Risto Poskiparta
President Risto Poskiparta opened the meeting by welcoming the guest and members.
President Risto then informed those present that the Tennis Committee had been in session prior to the luncheon meeting and updated everyone on the current status.
- He thanked PP Bruce Jellard and Martin Aeschlimann for helping to make the BTDC courts available for the tournament. Also thanks to the Nikko, Nusa Dua Beach and Laguna. There are now sufficient courts.
- Prizes for the online auction are coming in a bit slow. A renewed effort shall be made to get restaurants and spa vouchers.
- Posters had been completed and are being distributed now.
- The idea of Noel Allan expressed two weeks ago to explore means to tap into fund raising potentials in Australia is being pursued.
- PP Mimi has agreed to organize the T-shirt for the players.
Karl-Heinz Schmelzer pointed out the rare occasion of having five members in alphabetic order present which was made possible by Juergen Schreiber attending the luncheon.
PP Mercia Inkiriwang
PP Mimi will approach members to sponsor the Tennis T-shirts. She also reminded members that if they are not able to play they may want to consider sponsoring individual players. Entry forms are available with her.
Reinhold Jantzen had been traveling to Germany, Turkey and India and is now happy to be back in Bali. He donated each five shopping and restaurant vouchers for the tennis tournament auction.
PP Bruce Jellard
PP Bruce, after his accident some 10 days ago, is really happy to be here.
PP Jo Rosarius
PP Jo informed that sacrificing his week end golf he had joined the TRF seminar on Saturday, 11 August. He informed that indeed a qualified partner club is needed to apply for a Global Grant.
A District Dedicated Fund (DDF) in the amount of USD 850 may be used for a joint District project but also for one of the club’s own projects such as the HIV scholarship program.
The RI dues had been transferred including USD 100 TRF for 27 members. RI has confirmed the receipt of the transfer.

President Risto informed about a peace forum for January 2013 and the possibility of joining with other local Rotary Clubs. Details to follow.
Tickets for IDR 450,000- were sold. A pearl necklace designed and donated by Priti Kapur was won by Risto Poskiparta. Past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at the forthcoming meetings.
Fines of IDR 110,00 were collected for all and sundry offenses.
