Visiting Rotarians and Rotaract Members

SAA Martin Smyth
SAA Martin called the meeting to order.

Vice President Bruce Jellard
Acting President Bruce welcomed the other three Rotarians who are not away from Bali on holiday to today’s meeting. With fully half the club on holiday (and most currently in Australia) no doubt the meeting would be a much larger if held Down Under this week… No worries, the first Rotary meeting ever was attended by four members (see image above…)

PP Bruce mentioned that President Gary left last night for home leave and will be away through Christmas.

PP Mercia Inikirwang
PP Mimi mentioned that an old friend is quite ill and living alone and asked if anyone know the best way to assist someone in such circumstances. In as much as the individual is a foreign national, it was suggested to contact the individual’s consulate office for advice.

PP Wes
PP Wes reported that, although Jo was looking better he is still quite tired and will mostly likely miss the next few meetings until he gets his strength back.

As well it was noted that Susan sent an email stating that she needed to return home to be with her mother. Members wish her mother well.

Furthermore, the Global Grant application was authorized by all concerned and submitted for review and approval by Rotary International.

Finally, as per the email this morning please be aware that November is Rotary Foundation month. For those who have not yet made a TRF contribution, November is a good month to do so.

PP Martin Smyth
PP Martin stated that he had contact with the organizers of the the on again, off again fashion show. The organizer wanted to change the date back to November. This is not possible. Stay tuned for more updates.

SAA Martin passed on fines and the raffle this day.

With business concluded Vice President Bruce thanked one and all for their attendance before declaring the meeting closed at 2.00PM.
