Rtns Martin & Dona handover Fashion Show proceeds to Piter, Director of Bali Life

On Sunday 12th January, Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua (RCBND) was pleased to host a performance of the Fashion and Cultural show entitled “The Enchanting Culture of Minahasa”. The venue was the Kertagosa Ballroom, Conrad Hotel, Nusa Dua and this was the first performance of this show ever to be held in Bali. The show’s director was Bpk. Denny Malik and featured the The Denny Malik dancers with music performed by Kolingtang Kawanua Jakarta.

The performance demonstrated traditional dance and Music from Minahasa and, by way of a fashion show, it also showcased a wonderful contemporary interpretation of indigenous Minahasa fabrics by well-known Fashion Designer, Bk. Thomas Sigar entitled “Pinawetengan”

The attendees from Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua and other guests were treated to a truly professional and highly entertaining performance of the highest calibre. All who saw it commented that it was a wonderful show and requested that it be repeated.

RCBND has designated the proceeds of this charity event to the benefit of The Bali Life Foundations Orphanage in Ungasan and their educational programmes. Specifically, RCBND raised over IDR 60million from the event and these funds will allow 16 children from the BaliLife orphanage to attend the Kumon School to study Mathematics for one year to supplement their current education.
