PP Wes
Wes gave us an update on the cleft palate operations; A total of six operations were performed, four for Global Grant and two for Rector Schneider. The two for Rector Schneider now exhaust the funds for this program. A total of 24 operations were performed on 21 children with Rector Schneider funds.

That being said, this year to date 56 surgeries have been preformed on 51 children with Global Grant funds. This brings the total of 82 operations performed on 77 children in the Global grant program since its inception.

PP Wes also mentioned that RC Bali Seminyak has agreed to also sponsor the Kolewa Medicar. Like last year Kolewa will put the logos from RCBND & RCBS together for one large advertisement on the top back of the vehicle.

PP Edward Naus
Rtn. Edward is still waiting for information from Puspadi Bali before approaching friends in Holland for financial help.

Ari Murti
Ari reminded everyone that the Kerti Praja Foundation needs a little more money for the scholarship fund.

Urs Klee
Rtn. Urs gave us a very interesting presentation on his climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro in September. He had wanted to climb this mountain for a long time, and when he won two airline tickets to a destination of his choice, he was able to fulfill his dream. Urs invited a friend to join him on the climb. He set up a matching fund for donations to Rotary International so that RCBND members could make donations to commemorate the climb matching their contributions up to USD 1,000. All in all Urs raised USD2,000.- for The Rotary Foundation.

Although the trip got off to a rocky start, because he missed his flight, he was able to get himself there eventually, although he lost some of the time he would otherwise have spent acclimating to the altitude before beginning the climb. We saw many color slides of the trip and the climb, which was spectacular. Well done, Urs!

With business and presentations complete it was SAA time.

Tickets for IDR 2,125,000.- were sold with the proceeds going to the BNGC staff in thanks for their good service (photo above). The raffle prize was a bottle of fine red wine which was won by PP Wes. Wes and other past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at forthcoming meetings.

No fines today.
