Joni Afriansyah
Joni then gave us a power point presentation on the current projects of Rotaract Club Bali Nusa Dua.

  • The Rotaract Goes to School project supports 20 children who are good students but come from poor families, buying their uniforms and school supplies. RCBND members who would like to contribute can visit the Rotaract website.
  • A Branding and Fundraising Project aims to assist tourists and to increase their awareness of Rotaract. They plan to make tee shirts with a prominent Rotaract logo and the phrase. “Can we help you, traveler?” to encourage tourists to approach them for directions to their destinations and for information about local attractions and services, etc…
  • Rotaract is currently working on a proposal for an HIV seminar at STP Bali.
  • They recently hosted a group of Rotaract members from Hong Kong, which was very enjoyable for all, and they are hoping to be able to visit Hong Kong in the future.
  • Currently they are planning their Board Handover event and are looking for suggestions for a place to hold it.

PP Risto
Risto suggested that since we had a small turnout today Rotaract return next week to try to sell more t- shirts.

With Joni’s presentation complete SAA Risto took the floor.

Tickets for IDR 350,000.- were sold. The prize, a bottle of nice white wine, was won by PP Martin Smyth. Martin and past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at forthcoming meetings.
