ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS

SAA Martin Smyth
SAA Martin rang the bell calling the Meeting to order at 1.00pm.

President Edward Naus
President Edward welcomed Members, after an earlier Board Meeting.

PP Martin Smyth
Rtn Martin advised members that the GM of the Hilton Bali had expressed interest in hosting our weekly Lunch Meetings, and if there was any general interest in the possibility of changing our venue, he would follow up with the Hilton. There was no particular interest expressed in so doing.

PP Risto Poskiparta
PP Risto expressed his pleasure at being back home on Bali after an unexpected – but exciting and successful – visit to the Medical Center at RS Harapan Kita, Jakarta.

Rtn Henny Udy
Rtn Henny advised members that event arrangements were proceeding well, and that we had achieved an exceptionally good response to our request for sponsorship support. The hotel support, organised very effectively by PP Michael Burchett has been very strong, but members of the organising Committee have also been successful in drumming up a high level of support. The challenge now is for members to get out and sell tickets!

PP Karl-Heinz Schmelzer
PP Karl-Heinz in his role as Treasurer reported that the accounts for December had been approved by the Board, but reminded the meeting we are fast running out of funds. The Rp 100 million on fixed deposit had been uplifted, and was now being used for ongoing funding. He advised members that he would be absent from Indonesia until 23rd January, and the President would handle any money matters.

In his capacity as Chair of the Community Services Committee, Karl-Heinz reported that an application for a District Grant had been submitted, with the expectation that funds would be used for prosthetic limbs in support of Puspadi. An administrative delay had occurred, because some clubs have not yet full expended previous grants, and until they do no new Grants would be provided.

Sergeant at Arms
PP Martin taking on the role as Acting Sergeant at Arms advised that a number of members had won raffle prizes but had not yet provided a prize for the following meeting. Those suffering memory issues include: Rtns. Eddie (2) Michael and Debra. Puullleeeeaaaaaasssssseee bring your prizes…

Raffle
Raffle tickets of IDR 650,000 were sold and PP Wes was, for once, the winner. Debra’s bottle of Chateau Lartigue was won by PP Wes, as a result (he claimed excitedly) of Debra having touched his ticket! Easily excited, is PP Wes. PP Wes and other past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at forthcoming meetings.

Fines
IDR 100,000 was again collected for a second week in a row for all and sundry offences.

There being no other business President Edward thanked everyone for joining today. The bell was rung and the meeting adjourned at 2:00p.m.
