Acting SAA Risto rang the bell calling the Meeting to order at 1.00pm.

President Edward welcomed Members and a visiting Rotarians from Matt and Amy Miller, Port Angeles, Washington, USA

The roving “Metaphorical Mike” was circulated for observations from the Meeting:

PP Martin Smyth
PP Martin informed members present, that the Fellowship Dinner will be held next week on Thursday, 29th March, 2018. Venue: Balique, Jimbaran.

Rtn. Christine Velde
Rotarian Christine reported that she had sent the latest flyer of the Gala Dinner to the Bali Advertiser. It will appear on 28th March, 2018.

PP Karl-Heinz Schmelzer
Treasurer and PP Karl informed members and guests present, that he paid Rp 1.5 million from RCBND funds, to post an advertisement in the District Conference Magazine, which will be held in Semarang, in May.

Furthermore PP Karl informed members that the HIV Projects expire on 30th June, 2018, including the HIV scholarship. A decision has to be made before then, as to whether or not, RCBND can continue to fund the HIV Projects. Need to speak with Rtn. Ari.

Membership of the Golf Committee includes: Hugh Brown, Risto Poskiparta, Mark Holland, Karl Schmelzer, Michael Burchett, Yulia Tori and Edward Naus as ex-officio President. The Golf Tournament will be held on September 1st, 2018.

Visiting Rtn. Matt Miller
Rtn. Matt mentioned that this was he and his wife’s 2nd visit to Bali (and have enjoyed it very much…). Rtn. Matt then gave brief overview of his and his wife’s club and activities. A warm welcome and big thank you to Rtns Matt and Amy for taking time from their holiday to join our lunch meeting. :-)

PP Wes
PP Wes mentioned to our visiting Rotarians that we are now processing our second Global Grant application and with the amount totalling just over $131,000. If successful, will be used to continue to fund RCBND Cleft Palate programme that we began in 1994. He informed members, that RI has an arbitrary cut off for cleft palate operations of five years of age, however many children require three to four operations and that later operations especially those requiring a bone graft take place when the child is 7-8 years of age. We will address this with TRF.

President Edward
President Edward presented a RCBND banner to the two guests, who expressed their appreciation of an invitation to attend the lunch meeting, and meeting members.

With discussion over and a very enjoyable meal finished, PP and SAA Martin took the floor to draw the raffle.

Raffle tickets of IDR 450,000 were sold and nice bottle of red wine, was won by PP Wes (fiiinnnaaalllyyy). PP Wes and other past winners owing prizes are reminded not to forget to make their contributions at forthcoming meetings.

Fines of IDR 0,000.- were levied for all and sundry offences.

President Edward then exchanged banners with our Visiting Rotarian Willem.

There being no other business President Edward thanked everyone for joining today. The bell was rung and the meeting adjourned promptly at 2:00p.m.
