IPP Barbara Purwa, RC bali Kuta
IPP Barbara started off with a brief introduction of her club… RC Bali Kuta meets every Thursday evening.

IPP Barbara then gave a brief overview of ther Rotary Carrer. She has long been heavily involved with RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award). In 2012 she became a Rotarian and was involved with the D3420 Youth Program. She is now in charge for the D3420 Youth Programs and Family Exchanges.

A couple of years ago Rotary International introduced the 5th Generation. RC Bali Taman has 3 different Interact groups in different locations. This is a new exchange program, implemented district to district and is self funded. Then we have RYLA, the age group from 13 to 20 years old.

She explained that there are two programs, a the long term exchange for 11 months that involves schooling & culture and a shorter term exchange for 2-3 months that is more a holiday period (no school).

Worldwide there Interact has approximately 125,000 members while Rotaract has about 250,000 members.

IPP Barabara noted that six Interactors, who started 15 years ago have become Rotarians in RC Bali Kuta. Worldwide a survey showed that over 65% of the Interactors/Rotaractors are interested to join Rotary Clubs.

She then finished her presentation. (Please see attached the New Generation Program)

Then it was SAA time with PP Martin…

Raffle tickets of IDR 1,200,000 were sold with PP Dona winning a delightful bottle of red wine. Congratulations Dona! PP Dona and other past winners still owing prizes were reminded not to forget to make their contributions at forthcoming meetings.
