BULLETIN FEBRUARY 05, 2010 (ROTARACT CHARITY DINNER)

PENINSULA BEACH RESORT
As announced earlier the Rotaract Charity Dinner held at the Peninsula Beach Resort took the place of the luncheon meeting of February 4, 2010.

ATTENDANCE:
There were approximately 50 guests including 10 Rotarians from RCBND some of who were accompanied by their spouses. For details on member attendance please refer to the List of Attendance.

Proceedings
The President of Rotaract Bali Nusa Dua opened the evening by welcoming the guests. On behalf of RCBND Martin Smyth also spoke words of welcome and thanked Rotaract for their efforts in organizing this marvellous event.

There were several fund raising activities including Raffles ticket sales and auctions of vouchers and paintings. The Raffles prices were mostly woven handicraft items. The vouchers were sponsored by the Nikko Hotel for a complementary dinner and Nusa Dua Golf and Country Club for a round of golf for four players. Five fine paintings painted by handicapped children of SLBB were auctioned off with one fetching a price of IDR 2.600.000.

The guests enjoyed the fine buffet dinner and were entertained by a dancing group and a Batak combo.

The evening was concluded by a Poco Poco dance performed by the members of Rotaract and the posing for a joint photo of Rotaract and RCBND members.

All proceeds go to children’s library at orphanage.
